1795, 3 Apr; Middlesex Co., NJ Will of John "Burkerlew": Two of John's sons, Frederick & Obadiah, were to receive the homestead or plantation where their father then lived. After the father's death, the property is to be equally divided, along with 12 acres of salt meadow bought from the estate of ?Dirck Schyler, deceased. Sons Frederick & Obadiah were to "decently and comfortably maintain" their mother on the farm which they would possess after their father's death, and she was to have the "best bed, bedding and furniture."<../rr_src.htm>, p. 233.
