1833, 18 Oct, Middlesex Co., NJ, Deed: "Abner Higgins and wife, Sarah, to Frederick Buckelew, for $1,000 - a house and lot on Neilson St., formerly Queen St., adjacent to a house owned by Frederick Buckelew. Bound by a lot of Jacob Wycoff, and old burying ground & propt of Richard Van Arsdalen, deceased. Wit. Wm. Maxwell, Counsellor, & B.J. Messerole. Genealogical Society of N.J. Board of Trustees, Albert Stokes, Treasurer of the Society. He had done considerable work on the early Buckelews many years ago so I asked him about the Buckelew records in the Old Tennent Church. He said that they were for children of two Fredericks. "The primary item was a family record which had been sent to him years ago by Mr. L. l. Bucklew of Encinitas, CA...."
